Numbers 31:12 And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.
There are battles that we will have to fight in life where God goes before us and He is our strength. The battle we fight is with our mind and with keeping the faith during times that look tough. When we wage war against negative circumstances we can sometimes find ourselves questioning if we’re called and if God is really going to make a way for us. He can, He will, and He has. However, the Lord will not fight every battle for us. The Children of Israel had many battles that God fought for them, but there were others that they had to go out and fight themselves with God’s divine instruction.
A short cut to having your battles end quickly is through your praise and worship of God according to 2nd Chronicles 20:20. At the end on the battles we get to collect the spoils of war, which was everything that the enemy that you just defeated had. If you just fought a financial battle that means increased financial provision is your spoil. If you just fought a family battle that means a harmonious family is your spoil.
Shalom,
Last night at Dunamis, as we were ascending in worship, I didn’t talk about Rosh Hashanah, or the new Biblical year at all. There are plenty of teachings on the feasts in our bookstore.
Rosh Hashanah, also known as the Feast of Trumpets represents entering a new biblical year, that is the year 5772. There are literally 4 different Hebrew New Years, but I encourage you to get your hands on those teachings. Here is the most important information on Rosh Hashanah and why it’s relevant for you today!
Let’s celebrate the time and season that we’re in…
Judges 5:7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.
While you are waiting to move forward in the things that God has ordained for your life, who else is being impacted? Your life and the decisions you make can have lasting impressions on others. Deborah was chosen by God to be a deliverer for the Children of Israel. You are called to be a deliverer that God uses to change your bloodline and the people you come in contact with. You are the one that God has called to break the curse of poverty, lack, bad relationships, and dysfunctional families.
Sometimes we can feel stuck in life and like we can’t move on from where we are. That’s not the truth! You can do all things, but here’s the catch, only through Christ. Many times you may try to do things that don’t work because you’re not doing them through Christ; you’re doing them through your own strength. To do something through Christ means to do it through prayer and worship.
As Christians, we don’t just do things because of what others are doing; we do them after God has told us to through prayer and through our worship. If you feel like you don’t know what to do, maybe it’s because you’re trying to do it through your strength and not His. He will strengthen you, but only after you’ve been intimate with Him through prayer and worship.
Once you’re in His presence, then you’ll know what decisions to make because He will be your guide and not your circumstances. Get up from feeling sorry, get up from feeling depressed because this is your time to get up and dust yourself off from your hurt and walk in the things that God has ordained.
