Deuteronomy 30:10 - “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,”

There are some things in life we have no choice about. The Bible teaches that everyone shall experience trials & tribulations. It will  rain on the just and the unjust. That’s part of this life. Your trouble may be different than someone else’s trouble, but no matter what, there will be some.

The one choice we do have is how we respond to trouble. It’s the same option God gave to Adam and Eve in the garden, choose life or death? The same choice was given to the Children of Israel in Deut. 30:19.  In short, when confronted with a situation you can choose to respond with life (speaking good things, keeping a good attitude, praying for your enemies) or with death (gossip, fighting, backstabbing). In every situation that comes your way, ask yourself - do I want to choose life or death?

P.S. Choosing death makes you stressed, ruins your day, and disrupts your relationship with God. After hearing that, is there much of a choice?
